Dhratriya Celebrations Dhanteras, which is also known as Dhratriyas, is a festival celebrated in India on the full moon of the ninth month of the Indian calendar, November-December. The festival was originally celebrated in central India, but today it is celebrated across many parts of the country, including south-east India, and eastern part of the country, besides west part of the country. It is a time to celebrate love and family, and is also an important occasion for celebrating the harvest and thanksgiving.
