A lot of firecrackers are also lit in the evening and people exchange sweets on this occasion. A huge boat called Vatika (floater) is moored at the entrance of the temple and people can visit it on this occasion.

During this day, people pray for the success of Krishna and Goddess Lakshmi. The devotees wish them many blessings and long life. They also thank God for the prosperity that has been provided them. These people make offerings to Lord Krishna and Goddess Lakshmi on this day.

Diyasav Diyasava

The Indian festival called Deepavali has been celebrated since many years by many Indians and across different parts of the world as a part of the Diwali celebrations. Deepavali celebrates the union of Lord Krishna with his consort Radha on the auspicious occasion of Radha Sankranti or Radha's day on September 17th, followed by the bestowing of gifts by Lord Krishna to Radha on this day.

It is lit and burned while the devotee chants special mantras to welcome and worship the deity.
